Scoping Priorities for Quality in the Health and Disability Sector

The purpose of this November 2006 report is to provide a way forward for progressing action in six priority areas in quality in the New Zealand health and disability sector. This report provides the scope of the six programmes proposed for addressing these six priorities, including the strategy, the high level implementation plan and the high level costs.

Important note: This report was produced in a very short timeframe and the Minister of Health was the only intended recipient. Usual processes such as peer reviewing and editing were not carried out before presenting this report to the Minister.

This report has been made available as the Minister found it to be thought-provoking.
